I love drawing, seeing an idea for a piece of work grow from a photo or photos to sketches to the finished work. I often "sketch" on the computer a rough outline of the piece, playing with ideas for composition.
For my drawings, I work in colourfast lightfast ink and enjoy the challenge presented by working in one "solid" colour to obtain the various shades, rather than pencil whereby different shades can be obtained by varying the pressure.
I use acrylics for my paintings and tend to work on box canvases. My favourite acrylics to use are Daler Rowney Cryla Artist's quality acrylics- Windsor and Newton are good too, but the tops are trickier to remove once they've been used a few times and paint builds up around the thread.
I have both original artwork and prints for sale. Please contact me for details
My prints are all limited edition giclée prints complying with the Fine Arts Guild guidelines.
